cut a long story short im shit at tone mapping

this is my first attempt at a propper HDR, its a 3 exposure, and although you can tell that its a HDR it looks too tame, I want a realy realy cartoony one, do I need to add more exposures or just map it differently?

Photomatix should make it look really cartoony for you.

i used the merge tool in cs3 for both of thse but tbh i just messed about until i was happy with the outcome (i mostly changed the exposure, gammer (sp)).

Love the effect it gives, but i dont like them overdone.

Out of all the ones posted here, i must say i like the overall effect of this one, well done...

Now thats a bonny ass picture!

I want to have a crack at this down at the lighthouse, with a nice sunrise kicking off in the background.

and i would prefer if it wasnt lashing down.

Nice that. Looks a tad overdone imo, too much saturation in the sky perhaps. Nice one tho.
