Hi Guys,
I have a 1999 Corsa B 1.6 16v Sport.
The alarm activates when the car is double locked. The red light remains on just under the hazard switch for around 10seconds then starts flashing. I can set the alarm of by trying to start the car with the alarm activated. But I cannot set the alarm off with the windows down and movement within the car, maybe the ultra sonic sensor is knackered (i guess its between the two interior lights next to the button).
Was wondering if anyone no's what it may be or has had this problem?
What do you guys suggest?
Thanks

I think you depress the button next to the sensor for approximately 10 seconds to turn the ultrasonic sensor on or off.
I know the red light then flashes for a certain sequence - maybe solid for a few seconds, then flashes? I can't remember to be honest, but I'll have a look in my owners manual when I next use the car.

Aye I've always wondered this lol..
Also mine sometimes doesn't de-activate when I turn the key to unlock the doors and sometimes it goes off when I do actually open the door, doh.

You should be able to turn on/off the ultrasonic part as most alarms have this facility for e.g if you left your dog in the car for a while you would turn it of or the alarm would keep going off, I have never bothered to check mine either but I have a toad fitted anyway, sure its just hold down button etc, had to do this on my old rover gsi.

Just found my handbook , switching on without glass-break monitoring ,press button on courtsey lamp. Led flashes for approx. 10 seconds. so basically it is always armed unless you turn the sonic part off.
