well after 3 months of the cavs sitting in my garage i thought it was time to get on with spraying them lol took them to my mates house and got the paint from halfords. chose ford graphite grey.
ill keep the thread updated as i do little bits to them
grrrrrrr lol
well heres how they stood when i bought them. needed sanding down alot and there were a few paint bubbles but i was quite impressed with the conditon
after sanding the whole wheel down we washed them off
applying coats of primer very lightly to build up a good base layer
after about 3/4 layers of primer
started applying the colour, think this was after about 3 layers
now before anyone takes judgement on these next two pics, theres no laquer on the wheel yet and i just wanted to see what it would look like next to the car
thats all for now

this weeks update
went to to halfrauds yday and bought some more paint, cant understand why they dont stock the big cans instead of the small ones.
first of all, got my centre caps of ebay,
2 x opel
3 x VX
my plan is to put two opels on one side and two VX ones on the other.
3 out of 4 finished
and the last one primed waiting for paint
hopefully be finished by next week

Not a fan imo, New car with old wheels = Not cool but on a plus side they do look a little bit like Merc wheels

I like them, but you need spacers so they fill the arches more.
