Basically, ive been trying all day to get this working. I bought a Hawk 260rs alarm off ebay which has a remote start feature.
http://www.comm-elec.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/HA-260RS%20Installer%27s%20manual.pdf
Ive connected everything up but when i remote start it, it starts but cuts out straight away so im guessing the fuel pumps arent getting switched on,
Ive wired everything to the ignition harness and in my car there are 2 2nd ignition wires which ive connected to the blue wire on the alarm (see pdf above) and one thin 1st ignition wire (thin red one) which ive connected to the yellow.
When i put the key in the ignition to the 1st/2nd ignition switch the fuel pumps turn on and it runs for about 5 secs then a loud grinding noise happens so i turn off.
I guess this is something to do with the chip ive got in my key. Does anyone have any ideas how to get this working?
Many Thanks!

I've sorted out the grinding noise so its pretty much the immobiliser thats causing the hassle. Is there any way to still have the immobiliser connected and not putting the chip for the key by the ignition switch? Cheers

If all else fails take chip out of key, undo ignition barrel etc and place chip inside somewhere close to the sensor.
Mate did this when he broke his key and had to use a spare key but the imob at same time so he just put it inside column somewhere...

Ive tried that but it only seems to work when the metal bit of the key is touching part of the metal of the ignition... im puzzled
