i want to get mobile broadband dongle thingy, and i see there is some places that do a free laptop when you sign up for a contract...
are these deals any good? anyone recommend a mobile broadband provider?

No you don't need to keep it  How the hell would they know?! haha
It's a USB dongle. You're basically signing up to a contract like you would a mobile. To get the free laptop it's like an 24months contract minimum i'm sure. Plus, you'll be limited to whatever data tarriff you take out and get charged if you go over.
Personally, i'd just get a cheap laptop off ebay if you really want one, and buy a Pay as you go dongle.

Have a look. You certainly can't get 12months i'm sure. The laptops will be shit poverty spec anyway.

I was thinking as a money making venture.
Sign up, sell laptop. Keep laptop money in account. Wait till end of contract and hopefully have money left over 
EDIT: Just looked - it wouldn't work out cheaper, ever.

The value of the laptop is significantly less than the amount you are paying for the broadband though. They are shit laptops and you must sign up to the premium package.
