took the cambelt cover off today - always been sure it was an early type engine
it has round tooth belt and pullies
but had a late type cover on

plastic too, thought the cambelt covers were all metal

any1 ? so late covers fit early engines ?

I believe the late cover will fit an early engine but not vice versa.

I have never known a cover to be plastic, they are very light and the back when mucky could look that way. Nitromors the paint off and rub it up with wet and dry. If it doesn't melt at the nitromors stage then its metal!
