27th November 2007, I was caught by the police speeding as some of you might remember.
Well, today, I just got back in from Preston Magistrates.

They said they took everything into consideration.
Clean license from 2001 and needed car otherwise i'd struggle.

Police statement
Speed: average 109mph over 1.5 miles.
Conditions: weather fine, traffic light, visibility excellent

40 days disqualification, and £230 fine. Which ended up at £275 because they can't count

It's the biggest mickey mouse court i've ever heard of. I even had to teach them how to get my license endorsed and stuff without applying for a new one

Added bonus: getting to sit with the lowest form of scumbags and chavs in the waiting room

105 - 115

Police said I wasn't driving like a cunt. Just too fast. And because it was over 100, it HAD to go to court.

40 days is actually a long ban for over 100.
It was shortened from 56 days due to quick response of forms and pleading guilty etc.

I was expecting 2 weeks maximum. Police said anything more is harsh, but he also told me Preston is Cuntish for punishments

I found the court system to be extremely flawed though. In so many ways. But thats getting personal with the wannabe "judge".

40 days is potentially enough to lose your job if you had to be driving etc, so I can see where that punishment came in etc.

Lucky sod though

I cant believe people think he is lucky for getting a ban for 109 and a hefty fine. Sounds like they have made an example of you considering your licence is clean.

Also I know someone who is 21 who got done doing over 120 and all he got was 5 points and a £400 fine.

Was on this advisory board looking at the range of penalties and it really is down to what mood the magistrates are in and luck of the draw. Old man Adam B has proved this.

Out of so many people I know of that have been caught at over 100, I think i've got the worst

Monday morning, moody magistrates, high horse = bad combo

40 days is fuck all.

I had an instant ban off a year.

and had to pay over £550 in fines and court charges.

You got of lucky, shows how fair the judicial system is tbh.

The second time i done it,it got even worse, add another year.

Man, banned for that speed, that sucks ass.

The court costs are not included in the fine. My fine was £400, but it was £435 in total as there was the £35 court costs.
