A) buy a 2nd hand car, Bmw audi or 2 seater sport car!
B) New car from forecourt Corsa/fiesta etc
C) old classic car!csumthing cool!
Or do! get a contract leasing on a new car! and pay monthly!

people who buy brand new cars are Idiots,
UNLESS they are heavilly discounted or work for the company and get various benifits

Would agree with mattk really. I bought mine brand new but had a heavy discount off the list price and really bumped up my part-x so it was actually cheaper than a 2/3 year old model but came with zero miles.
I wouldn't buy brand new at list price, never ever.

Personally I'd buy 2nd hand.
I couldn't bring myself to spend 8k on a Corsa (well not all in one go ) and for 8k you could get something much better if you go a few years older.
I also find I'm not that keen on a lot of new cars.
I think the classic car option'd have to be a second car due to obvious reliability issues

Not really if you can afford it. Plus weren't you the one that was going to ring the previous owner to ask about your car, no need to worry about that if your the only owner.

speaking from personal experience, buy a few year old audi/bmw or something nice.
don't buy new at list price.

Ok, the petrol one. But seriously, apparently the TDCi is the better of the three (1.6 petrol, 1.6 TDCi & ST).

I think you need to consider downgrading from a Corsa, think its a bit 'flash' for you

8k for a Fiesta, I just couldn't justify that, my dad's got a 740i sat on the drive that he doesn't think he'll get more than 2.5k for. I'd rather have that and the 5.5k change for the extra petrol
