When i go on YouTube to watch a video, this comes up instead of a video.

Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player. Get the latest Flash player.

Installed the latest player, restarted laptop.
Made sure all the java settings are switched on in internet options.

Still no hope, any ideas?

You don't need Java to play YouTube videos.

Javascript needs to be enabled, this might be off in the browser settings or pop-up blocker type of software.

If you've got the latest Flash player it's not that.

Tried with and without pop up blocker.

Have you got an ad blocker, as opposed to a pop up blocker?
