is it s straight swap or would i need to change things? would my gearbox fit?
how much we talking for a decent 1.4 16v, and then how much roughly to get it fitted?
need as much info as i can..

new fuel pump i'm sure as its injecting into 4 rather than 3 cylinders, new CPU obviously for the same reason - get that from the donor car the 1.4 comes from.
not sure how much a 1.4 16v would be but i work on the basis any engine is £200-£500 depending on condition and the like (2.0 8v Redtop seem to ave £300) fitting would be £600+ i reckon but dont know of a price given most fit themselves in a weekend (or if competant 5hours i've heard!)
gearbox - not a clue, someone will be able to answer you. i belive the 12v and 1.2 16v use the same g/box and the 1.4 and 1.6 share the same one but dont quote me on it!

just spoke to my mate n he said its abit of a biatch to do on the 1.0 12vs is this true or..
how much would i be talking for a conversion..

i can do the conversion, u will have trouble running the epas on the 1.4 engine, u can do it but im notto sure, but i can get the engine in the car and running providing everything is there
