coming back, thought id see what my car can top out at
got to limit 145 and engine management light has come on, pull over and car goes dead, let it cool down.
try to start it again and it starts but car sounds louder and turbo bar is flicking. drive off in 1st loads of white smoke, but clears with about 30 seconds at driving at 30. car feels really different.
its dark and havent had a chance to look at it, just luckly i got home tbh.
any ideas im fearing iv blown the turbo but wouldnt that make a squaling sound???? or maybe just burnt all the oil????

edit ur post, u were doing that speeds on a private road were you not?? you drive is very long hahahaha

You drove 145mph on the motorway? (I can't even be bothered)
Sound's like you've fudged something in the engine anyway, loads of white smoke from the exhaust is never a good sign.

thanks for replies had a look today, yep turned out to be headgasket and hope thats all its gonna be.
there was water but if i left it any longer there would not of been. just lucky i left a big bottle of water in my boot.
