Adam - There were two classes this year...
Pro for tuners (some have pro drivers liek Matt Alison, Duncan Tappy, Phil Glew etc etc)
Club Class - for amatures or privateers....
There was a fair bit of tuner backin gin club class though, so a 3rd class has been made for 2009. Club Pro i think

i'll say one thing about time attack, its soooo boring to watch, no actual racing so unless you have an interest in a particular driver/team its just a car going vrrrrm in circles.

Went to two rounds this year and I really enjoyed it, I think in future I will turn up alot later to catch the actual proper rounds and not the practice/quals, at the end of the day they are always giving it their best.
Me and jr were at the last round, was a alright day!

I imagine it would be boring if you had no interest in it
There is always something happening on track, and people do overtake more than F1
A lot of the interest is in the Pits to be honest.... some of those pro cars close up are just amazing. And some of the kit they have.... it is like being in a proper racing series. You feel a bit daft in the club class running out the garage to check tyre pressures and fill the fuel... when a few garages down the pit there are about 6 guys working away changing gearboxes and a car perched up on air jacks...

Not everyone has mega bucks like the pro class boys though, thats the only thing i dont find fair in Time Attack, its just a Competition of how much money you can afford to throw into a car in the pro class and also who can get the best driver for their garage. I know its not possible but would be alot fairer with power classes. (an example of that is the likes of the DCY evo in club class)
That said though, i still love Time Attack and the machines involved.

.... you need to drive like that....
or... in my thoughts at least... you need to start pushing it a bit more to see how the car reacts, and what its limits are. You are driving well within them just now i think
... having said that I've never been in car with you during TA
