after cleaning my engine bay today and de-greasing it, i noticed a plug was out....(not plugged in) i think its the egr plug...will this cause any problems, as it looks broken and wont go back in

Yes i would of thought so,It will cause your Car to run rough(Missfire,Splutters,Smokey?)Also it should put your EML on the dash?
Dont quote me on this but im quite sure it will.Wait until someone else reply's but i advice you to either blank it off or put it back together(But even if you blank it off it will still need to be connected back up)So best of getting it sorted if your Bothered?

If its the egr then yes it will bring on the eml ,if no eml on then it must be some other plug.

well i the light was on, but i also had a snapped map sensor hose, i got that sorted and the lights gone off now, but that plug is still out...
