I have two amps in my car once i turn the stereo up one amp cuts out its always the amp with the bigger power cable i swithced the power cables over to see if it was and it was...
Why does one amp shut off... is it my battery, alternator how can i have two batteries in my car?

u have 2 wireing kits in ya car or they cum out of a splitter ya not being very clear mate as for 2 batteres ya can get a split charger that will sort that out but am sure its sumit less then that

i have two wiring kits the two powers are coming out of a distribution block i have a 4awg power and an 8awg everytime i turn the volume up the 4awg in my vibe cuts out so swapped the 4 for the 8 and now the other amp cuts out so its the power somewhere? only have one battery btw

sounds like one of the power cables are dodgy if you swapped them over and its not working on the other amp, Try changing the 8awg cable for another 4awg cable and see if that works?

the amp shuts off yeah and the power cable is all fine as i turn it up past half way on the cd player it stops playing??

It sounds like maybe the amp could be faulty mate, have you checked all wiring? RCA lead, remote lead, Earth lead are these all connected properly?
But if these are fine then the amp could be faulty then mate
EDIT: Try a different Amp mate and see if that works
