im thinking about getting a nikon d40 soon as i want to take up photography..
just wondering if i would be able to get pics like these? also is there alot of editing to get these pics?

dont expect to just pick up a camera and get result's like that...
need's alot of practice, then some jiggery poker in ps if it's still not right

not at all expecting it to be easy and i know it needs abit of editing etc but obviously i need a camera to make it possible for me to achieve them in the first place though..
im pretty nifty with a camera and im alrite on photoshop, i just need a decent camera etc now

no reason why u cudn't take shots like tht with any slr. Like anything it will take practice..! Oh and being good with photoshop helps obviously!

i dont mean to be funny but what i speacial about those shots?
My 400d can produce that easily.
you do need to have a bit of a clue with how to work the thing but once you star getting out there it becomes easier.

all i want to know could i achieve those pics with a nikon d40 without to much editing?
if not then obviously il have to save up more cash and get another camera..
i havnt got a clue about slr cameras etc so i just want to know before i spend nearly £300..

There is nothing technically difficult about those pictures....
All will have had editing in photoshop/simmilar to tweak them to get the effects.
You could get those results with a point and shoot tbh

did a little bit of sharpening etc, the pic quality looks shite though

Layers > new Adjustment Layer > Hue/Saturation> Adjustments > saturation all the way down to 0 > Brush Tool > Brush The Parts You Want Colour > Layers > Flatten
