Right then the TOTD organised day is this Saturday so lets get organised, there was some interest from SC (Robbo, Daveskater etc) so thought we might as well try travel together?
I am in Harwell/Didcot and have three practical routes which differ by 10miles and 15mins thus happy to take either
Google suggest i take A34 south M4 off at j5 and through town
Route1
i know some are based closer to Oxford and would prefer to use the M40 thus taking it all the way to the A40/J1 and going through town
Route2
and the finl option (also the shortest for me) is a bit of cross country
Didcot>Henley>M4 J9 (Maidenhead)>M4 to J5 then through town
Route 3
as i say i really am happy to take either route. looks to be an hours drive, or there abouts so would be leaving 0715-0730. happy to pick ppl up (ie outside Oxford/High Wycombe/Chieveley/Reading/Slough) depending on the route we take but only if interest is shown!
get your names down with your preference in route
edit: democratic decision will be made which route i'm taking, so if you have a preference please post it!

Route 2 is best for me, as I can go a few mins down the A40 and then there's a Sainsbury's the other side of BMW Cowley, so we could meet there Iirc Robbo is just up the road from me as well so we could both go there.
Actually Sainsbury's is an epic fail so it would be easier to go to Tesco's. It's on a roundabout, but it will tell you to take the road straight over it, so you will need to come off there, and it is the last one before you go back onto the road you came from. There's a sign marked retail park and you should be able to see Mc D's so you can't really miss it

Which one's Peartree again?
Can you tell I've been on the road just over 3 years? Only in a car since Feb, mind.

Cool
We'll sort one out early next year probably, unless people want one sooner.
I won't be able to come to any more after Saturday until I have some money coming in
Anyway, this is a bit off topic

I think he means make it later, because it's only around an hour away from me, so will be less from the service station as that's about 15 mins away.
I reckon make it half 7, then we can chat at the services for a min then make our way

ok final Details.
using a modified route 2 HERE it should take us an hour so:
we shall leave Peartree services at 0715
get to M40 J4, John Lewis car park around 0800
this gives us 30mins to get to TOTD - according to Google its only 16mins so gives us some time to take a wrong turning/wait for a late driver/traffic
this i think is fair. opinions welcome.
all drivers (Robbo, Daveskater and James_H) have u2u with my number for contact on the day (ie your running late) - if anyone has SatNav it is welcomed as i dont and will gladly follow someone who knows where they are going!
see you all there!

Cheers for the u2u mate, I'll see you there tomorrow
The Peartree interchange is about 15 mins from me so I'll leave just before 7. I will also have a satnav
Just gotten strawberry jam all over my mouse - that was clever
