Yes it is well and truely fucked. You should be able to get UPS to pick it up and send it to MS for a replacement though.

If its been on once it will do it again and stop working. DO NOT do the towel trick as it will just over heat and fry the chips instead just buy some thernal paste (got mine from maplin) and stick some under the 2 heat sinks, will fix it completley, done it on 3 of them now and all work fine (one done about 6 months ago)
