theres a good movies app too that lets you view all latest trailers and see whats on in cinemas local to your current location. works really well on iphone but dunno what it will be like on itouch

What'f the FB app and where from?
I have jailbroken mine and use installer to get things but is there anywhere else I can download them and put on my iPod somehow?

Not really, it's a lot easier to unlock using QuickPWN than using any of the other apps I have used before.

Updated to 1.1.5 and "got" half a dozen free apps, but errr, they are nowhere to be seen on my touch - any ideas?
I've bought them in itunes, it said it downloaded them, they are showing in the app folder, I've synced the ipod - but nothing?

You need version 2.0 onwards software to be able to use the App Store.

Think you can un-install installer using installer. It certainly gives you the option to do so at least.
