right here goes the story we went out to the car the other day and the battery was completly drained and the car would'nt start but the ignition lights where all bright so charged trhe battery up once it was charged full i decided to leave it for a few hours and try and start it again but it ended up doing the same battery drained not turning over "pish" so i thaught why not try a new earth from the alternator to the strut top but that has'nt worked! am totally stuck for idea's now and hav'nt got a clue what's up! startermotor works fine but make's a light crunch noise after it's started for like a millie second so i don't think it's a sticking starter....
bearing in mind the corsa's a 1.6 sport
any idea's corsa guru's?

this is the same with me tbh..
every morning it was very low and wouldnt start, found out it was because my amp had a constant live.
after that it was fine for a few weeks, but now it does it again and the amp isnt connected up :S
so i would like to know this aswell please..
is it just because of the very cold nights?

yes becauz if the alternator isnt putting full charge into the battery its gonna go flat quickly as its just gonna rely off the battery

test the battery..
test it while its running and it should be around 14.5v, this means the alternator is working as its charging the battery, and then try it when its not running..

Assuming you have a battery charger, stick the battery on it overnight to give it a right good charge. If it starts well, then it's as if the battery is draining as you're driving (test this by turning it off then seeing how strong the starter is), I'd say it's something to do with the alternator.

well we've just sussed it to be the alternator as we've been getting a whine from the engine for the last wee while so we're on the look out for a new one rather than a second hand one
