Been thinking about ditching my PAYG mobile, House phone & Broadband & getting an Iphone & mobile broadband for my laptop.
Im not much clued up on deals & stuff so wondered if anyone had bought either recently or knew about deals!?
Whats 3G give? Is it just the ability to video phone as id prefer not to have that!
Is mobile broadband any good?? Can get 3MB for £15 a month. Which is fine as I only use the net to browse, dont download anything!!
Iphone is £35 a month for a decent amount of calls/texts? Is their any better deals than that?
Suggestions?

if you're going for mobile broadband, make sure you do a coverage check to ensure you get a good speed where you're using it. From experience day in day out with. Customers I've never heard one complaint about o2 mobile broadband so have a look atthe available deals on that. As for the iPhone, the tariffs are fixed £30,35,40 etc. So there's no deals available on them as such, hence the reason why I bought an unlocked one and use it with orange. (actually using it to post on here)

We recommend O2 Mobile Broadband for this postcode and predict that speeds will be good.
O2 shop the best place to get an iphone aswell?

Why not just connect your iPhone to your laptop for 3g broadband? If you sign up for an iPhone (like I did) it's unlimited Internet and you only need an application to sync a wifi connection between the pair.

just various ways of doing it actually, and several apps... I think PDANet/Netshare off the top of my head.
But in essence, create an Ad-hoc network which you wirelessly connect to.
There are loads of guides around if you just google it.
Guide 1
Guide 2
to be fair, id imagine this would have been in big demand considering the current prices of 3g dongles
