I've sold my camera phone so i want a decent digital camera £150 limit...Would've like a SLR but i can't see those being in my price range!

I do want to get into taking good pictures so anyhelp would be great

Canon Powershot sx 100is is £169.99 in Curry's at the moment, slightly bigger lensed compact, i think has 10x optical zoom. Great camera at this price.

Canon IXUS80is, great compact digital loads of cool features, and good quality image stabiliser as well as multiple face detection with tracking. this has just been reduced from 139.99 to £119.99.
Has colour recognition, so can take sin city style photos as well as colour swapping.

I do work for Canon, so you may say I am biased, but they are a good company who make quality cameras, alot better than most of the marketing tat you get out there.

We've always had Canon IXUS camera - never have they gone wrong. 1 has gone wrong but simply through old age.

Fuji F50 FD. Ace camera with great High ISO performance. Will be well under the £150 aswell so you'll have enough for a case and 2gb memory card.

well i went and bought myself a Fujifilm finepix S5800 nice camera only £96 from argos anybody know any good sites for tips and hints for good photos

That should be quite a good camera My dad has the old version 5MP one and it takes great pics.

I was also going to suggest Casio EX-S10
