Me and the GF went to look at a car for her on the wk-end. We decided on a audi from @ a good local dealer. We are happy with the prive of the car looking at what other's are for sale for atm.
The dealer offered finance for us @ 13.7 % fixed over 48 month's.
Before she start's looking into loan's etc, is this a good rate ? is it worth applying for more as she doesnt what laod's of application's on her credit history.
She did go to her bank and try but the rate was alot higher even though it was the same ammout to borrow
help

It sounds high but its probably about normal tbh. You could probably get a loan for that much between 7-10%, although ive not got a clue how easy it is to get a personal loan for 10k with the banking problems.

Look at Nationwide. Their loads are fixed, and the same for everyone, no matter their credit rating. I remember seeing them lower than 13.7!

My mate has just got a £15 loan from these, his credit rating is fucking abysmal, he has only got this to pay off other debts

Vaux did 0% interest on a lot of their cars. Sometimes it can work out cheaper buying a newer car if that makes sense?

garages talk in APR and AER. AER rates will be a smaller number but when you transfer them to APR it goes up. so always take the APR rate and ask them to change it to APR if they give you AER
