How does the L200 perform off road? I've been told they aren't too good but im looking at buying something soon to get into it and want something similar to yours. Also can you u2u me the details of where you got your tyres and snorkel etc. Cheers mate

L200's are awesome off-road mate, i spent most of the weekend pulling landy's around and out of stuck palces.
The Landrover's are really good but i prefer the L200, The only downside to it is the wheelbase being long but just means got to be a better driver thats all.

Landrover owner's slate L200's and are narrow mind for only landrovers being real off-roaders but i will just about garuntee i could go just about eveywhere a landy can if not more.
Tyres - unsure the place i got them was them but it was off the net, fedima scirroco (simex copies) just half the price
Snorkel - trb on the net.

Do you not have anyproblems with the back being light on them, I know a mate had a similar problem on his hilux.
And off roading is spot on, A great day out

Cut and weld
Not too bad a job, mark a few selected point (measured) and cut it into three bits, removed the centre 17inchs and weld back up, filler, paint = shortened rear.
I have a spare tub i would convert and paint for £400 + delivery if intrested.

It'd be for a Navara so more than anything was interested how you go about it; can get the Fabricators at work to do the welding.
What are the Navara's like as opposed to the L200

Not really saw one in the mud. The higher end model's are too heavy and bulky though but the cheaper verisonsa re just same really as L2's.
Be good to see a few more jacked up and doooshed in
