Had this for a good 4 years I think now, still working perfectly fine, been an excellent monitor.

When trying to edit a couple of pictures recently and trying to read stuff with 2 pages in screen I found a need for a higher resolution as well as just wanting a new monitor.
Was originally looking at 20-22" as my desk isn't that deep.
Had seen all the £120 etc for a 22" monitor, found out they don't even have dvi, who buys an lcd these days with no dvi
Found this dell for just over 200, 24", 1080p ( I know it's 16:9 and i'm 120 lines down on standard 16:10 res, the rest of the monitor and the massive upgrade from my 17" should make up for this.)
Delivered today

Just set it up, i'll report back after i've used it for a bit

Because of the way the stands are designed the new one sits just as far back as my old one, it's sooooooooo wide though, it'll take a bit of getting used to I think.

This the one that was on HotUkDeals?
I was more than tempted but I've already got the slightly older 20" version.

That looks nice, as said, you can never have a screen too big I have a 22" at the minute and it's great, might go bigger though, will see how prices are after new year.

it's actually totally unrelated to my dell laptop recomendations, I wasn't looking for a dell monitor, just happened to be the best value at the time

We have some of those at work. I'd like one for my machine as reckon it'd be pretty good for CAD
