hi all tried to start my cors today for the first time and it wont start. it turns over. one of the most obvasers things that i have noticed is that when i turn the the key in to poistion two the lights should come on on the dash then the fuel pump should prime. but when i put mine into postion two it trys to start the engine but dosent run help please

so when the key is in possition 2 it turns over?? its ment to turn over in postion 3!

i wirierd it up and it worked fine b4 i put the red top in it can could i have wired it up wrong i just put all the clps together what could this be

You must of rewired somthing. A xe wont plug straight in. ima you have wire the starter loom to ing2 rather than 3

i cilped in all the clips and the other wires that ya have to mate up i just mde sure that the same couler wires went togther does neone know which wire is wrong so i can change it

and do you need to uprate the batt as mine is for a 1.4 16v

Wiring colours are as follows:

XE loom

Green - revcounter feed, wire to green on corsa plug (some corsas may not have this wire, in which case use a bullet connector and run a green wire to the rear of the clocks if you wish to fit a set with a revcounter.

Brown/Blue - ECU light, match to corsa plug

Brown/White - Diagnostics, match to corsa plug

Brown/Yellow - Diagnostics, match to corsa plug

Blue/red (thick) - Fuel pump feed, match to corsa plug

Blue - Coolant temp sensor feed for dash clocks, match to plug

Red/White - Autobox, unused in conversion

Red/Blue (thin) - electronic speedo feed, match to corsa plug

Red (large) - Battery +ve

Black (thin) - Battery ?ve I moved this inside and matched it to the corsa plug
Black/green - Aircon, unused in conversion

what xe is it the later 1?? if its the later you need to run a wire from the loom to ignition live insde the car

fuel pump doesnt prime with ignition, but does sound like fooked ignition switch for it to be cranking in pos 2

your ignition switched live is connected to the wrong thing. (black single wire in the bay)

should be a black single pin plug (black wire) to the right of the engine, coming out of the same cluster of wires as the ones going to the coil and igintion module

Run a wire from inside the car (black wire) through to the black single plug in the engine bay.
