hi there my problem is everytime i put the face of my cd player on(not powered on) and then try and start the car the battery is dead within seconds, but if i dont put the face on it starts first time, any help would be appreciated

Get a new battery? 
Run the car for a couple of hours to make sure it gets a good charge then if it still does it then you need to get a new one.

the batt is newish mate, and it does get run etc, its down to the stereo need help

check you battery terminals are on propperly and tight

the batt is fine mate its just when i put the face on the cd player it goes dead, but if i dont put it on then its fine it will start first turn

sterio turning on will not take that much draw from the battery to make it flat, try charging the battery fully and use the sterio again, sounds to me like the battery is fooked, is the battery charging from the car?
