"Based in Taiwan, the Nankang Rubber Tire Corporation Ltd was established in February 1959. Nankang has two manufacturing plants in Taiwan and one in China."

well part chinese, wouldn't expect any less, than a copy of another tyre, just like they do with cars

yellow sea yeah. theyre another top brand up there with king forset. oddly not a 4x4 tyre. we had 225/45/17 king forests in for a bit. oh dear.

as for the original question. if theyre r888's as the pic says, they are a toyo tread even in the pic. but if theyre 55 ish quid for 19/45/16's thats a bargain. you cant get r888's in that size though, but can get r048 yoko's which i didnt know till the other day.

The picture looks just like r888 toyo's... So maybe someone's listed it under the wrong thing???

Surely Nangkang site would list their tyres if they made a r888 equiv.

http://www.nankang.com.tw/home.php?fn=eng/product

If they existed they'd be under here...

Someone who obviously inputs things on that database has entered the details wrong for tyretrader I think!

You may find you order them and pay little and get cheap r888's... or you may find some other Nankangs turn up on your door.

Hmm gotta dis-agree on the Nankangs are shite front here.
Ive had them on a few cars and they arent that bad.Infact id say they were pretty grippy. Was running them on my circa 200bhp V6 Mk3 GSI and they wouldnt spin the wheels on take-off and i used to be able to launch it off the line pretty good.Corner wise, they held up well too.
