You dont need to be none of the above

Level 2 Certificate for Door Supervisors is the course you need to do which costs around £160 at your local college and can take a week to complete.

You will have a couple of tests at the end and then once your papers are sent off & you pass you then have to apply for your license through the SIA (Security Industry Authority)

Last step is to pay £245 for the "badge" which goes through an application status, this can take a while to get your looking at around 3-4 months!!

Just book at your local college, do a google search for the ones around your way.

More info is here:

Be prepared to be fucked about by the SIA. When i applied for mine they lost my driving liscence and a had to reapply because of their mistake. Really isnt an industry id advise people getting into. It's crap money, you have to deal with crap day in day out and people treat you like a second class citizen.

Sadly though it is massively addictive!

If you do a bit of drug dealing on the side like most of the doormen I know it's quite a profitable job

it's easy to think they are all twats because tbf many of them are. A few good eggs though.

Yea door suervisor is approx (in my area) £179 which is a 4day course then the badge is applied for £250 approx which then has to be re-newed every 3 years then.

But doing the Door supervisor course is a double qualification as it also allows you to work as a security officer eg. Super market, retail, construction sites.
But with retail a CCTV SIA is usually desired.
