The 3 cylinders was a joke between us at my old job
One of the guys said "it sounds like your car's only running on 3 cylinders" so I said it only had three and I never lived it down

Understood.
Why don't you get a 1.6 instead of a 1.4?

if i were you i wouldnt make up you mind just yet, by june/july time you will prob change your mind a million more times. also, i bet by then corsa c's will be well within your price range so would be a newer car for the money.

i thought of 1.6 but insurance is 200 difference( got quote of 470 for 1.4) plus tax. so thats 280 in the first year. i would rather spend that on mods.
i really like C's and could afford 1.2 looking at prices.. 1.4 seem to go for quite a lot more.

why spend £280 on mods to make a 1.4 quicker when you could just have the 1.6 which will be quicker anyway?
get a 1.6

This man speaks sense.
And about the only exterior improvement you could make with £280 is a set of decent alloys.

Do a lot of 1.4 bits not fit on the 1.6 anyway - thought they shared the same head?
Cams, inlet manifolds etc I'm thinking of.
