Yeah they are a massive let down, but how about a set of Corsa VXR seats in there? I know someone around here has done it.

When SRI's went in for a service at Vauxhall and had the ecu software updated, the same map the GSI has was installed so they run on identical software.

They're both group 15 insurance are they not?
I looked at both in depth and I just really like the Gsi
Something a bit more special about the Gsi compared to the sri, can't put my finger on it

IMO the SRIT looks like a normal astra with an Xpack, the power is defo different, its not the ECU or map, its something else but i cant remember exactly what!
Astra GSi = 198 BHP
Astra SRIT = 186 BHP
Astra Coupe T = 198 BHP
Astra GSi:
Arden blue (no other MK4 astra made in that colour)
Recaro Half leather
Complete different bumpers,skirts and spoiler
Some have sat nav, climate control, Xenons etc
Smoked rear and front lights as standard
Switchable TC

Not being funny Mike but the power is no different between the SRi-T & the GSi. Never has been.
They all had the same engines, the Coupe, the SRi-T & the GSi are all identical.

I'd have said it would have been a ploy by vauxhall to make the GSi that little bit more appealing.
Rob R, was it a recall when they updated the software on the SRi-T's?

As mentioned the Sri is a boggo astra with skirts and nasty interior. GSI has all the trimmings and looks fresh even today.
Great cruising cars, but dull to drive.

GSi needs the M32 I reckon to be a better drive, the F23 is a very ghey gearbox.
