Just wanting to make sure my car has the symptoms of headgasket failure.

At the time the car started going funny it went onto 3 cylinders and eventually onto 2 as it got even less powerful.

White smoke coming out of the exhaust and there was pressure in the header tank even though the car was at the normal running temperature.

Does this sound like h/g failure?

Also because the engine didnt overhead, will the head still need skimming?

Thanks
