they took my car in on monday to sort out the sideskirts (they were falling off as they were not bonded on properly from factory).
whilst they were taking the sideskirt off they caught my side stripes and had to order new ones through to fix it.
they've had the car since, luckily i've been in glasgow so didn't need my car but they don't know that.
they weren't willing to sort out a courtesy car for me either as i'm under 21...
reckon i'm entitled to some compensation? e.g. a free service or something? seems it's their fuck up, so why should i ''suffer''

Accidents happen. Just be happy knowing that their putting it right and they were honest enough to tell you. I doubt 'they weren't willing' to sort you a car, your not 21 so they can't insure you. Same with most places.

i'm insured on a focus st mate, i'm sure they could've done me a favour to get me a little fiesta or something seeing as this is the 2nd new car i've bought from them.
accidents do happen yes, but this is the 7th warranty claim on the car in 6 months, ford build quality on this car is beyond a joke.

I makes no odds to them what car you are personally insured on, their insurance won't cover you, so they cannot give you a courtesy car, that's how it works, the same way that you can't rent a car, or whatever....
Make them pay for the side stripes.

It may well be but the dealership didn't build the car, they are trying to help you fix it tho.
I know your insured on a focus st, so will they. Makes absolutely no difference tho.

haha dont take this in the wrong way but i hate people like you.
I work for Nissan garage and we get people trying stuff all the time.
Im always honest with people if we fuck up but you always get people on the hunt for summit free! its a joke.
I'd be happy they admitted they fucked up an are sorting it... not alot of garages would do that!

As for insurance. Are you insured throught them??If not then it dosnt matter if your insured on an ST or not.Theyr policy will have limitations as to what they can and cant insure.

As said accidents happen, there resolving the problem, you may be insure on a focus st but company policy is company policy, end of. And that goes for most companys

they are
There you are then, you've not lost out, these things happen and they're willing to a) admit it and b) pay for them.
You won't get any more out of them.

yeah it is good of them but at the end of the day i pay over 400 quid a month to finance the car and another shite load on insurance to drive it.
now they've had the car about a week so thats 100 quid on finance and 40 on insurance and neither me or my dad even have it in our possession.

So what would happen if you had a bump due to your own fault and it required the bodyshop to have the car for a week while it was being repaired??Or if the engine in the Focus went bang and it required Ford to have the car for several weeks??Would that bother you??
Thats what you pay insurance and finance for.Your insurance pays for the accidents, the warranty(included in the finance) pays for work to be done.
