basically i got someone to wire my fogs up on my airdam front and used a halfords fog light wiring loom.

5 minutes later the switch caught on fire and all the wires burnt out!

i ripped all the wires out and theres nothing in there now...

BUT.. when i brake -the mainbeam light come on dim
- the stereo cuts out
- the speedo needle drops to 0

what could be the problem? ive looked and havnt spotted any damaged wires at all!

i really need someone to look at it or help me out just dont know where to turn for help

please help thanks ..ant

I'm not bad with electronics Ant, have wired up fog lights for people in the past etc etc, I'm fairly local and would be happy to take a look for some petrol money if you like?

Good idea with what is wrong btw

Earthing out a couple of wires behind that fuse box can have some very very bad effects

Also, I can wire the fog lights up to a genuine switch if you wanted that!

The speedo and stereo are attached to the same fuse IIRC, I recon the wiring has taken a couple of other wires out.
