i was having a play with one of them this evening from a 30mph zone to 70mph and then again from 70mph, both times my little corsa just happily pulled away from him. The 30 to 70 was up a hill also. Lovely car though

I find this hilarious. How do people actually know they were pushing the other car to the limit?!

TBH Deano an XE will be quicker to 70mph, I had a race against a Clio Williams when I had mine and that was neck & neck until 100mph

It's always easier being the car in front. FACT.

You can pull away when you want, you can brake when you want, you're effectively in control.

Being behind, you have to anticipate their acceleration, braking and general shite driving.

Not that I'm saying you wouldn't of had him. I wouldn't know. Just more that if he was in front and leading the way, it may have been different.

But the 197 I would say is slower, honestly they really aren't as quick as the performance figures make out.

Tbh I would expect you to beat it if you've got a fully stripped out, and healthy Corsa XE. The power to weight ratio on a VXR isn't great because of the amount of safety features they have.

But for £440 quid they could have 220bhp to play with. A remap really brings them to life.
