Just out of curiosity, when you guys vote for a chop, do you vote for best design, or best skills? Or something else?

Are you not winning mate?
Seriously though, mostly on the skill and difficulty of the chop. As a graphic designer i can appreciate how hard a certain chop must have been to achieve.
BTW i have voted for you both times BluKoo

I'm not bothered really. Just more curious of what people look for.

Alot of people will vote for themselves then others just on what looks "cool" rather than one that is technically better.
No offence to Kurt but his is getting voted for yet is not technically better than say yours, people just see the monster truck and go "OMGZ WOW" but miss out the fact that it has problems when you look closely.
I reckon if the vote thread was posted on Digimods the outcome would be VERY different.

I've been wondering this too. I always vote for which one looks more realistic personally coz imo, the whole point in 'shopping a car is to make it as realistic as possible, otherwise not alot of point.

I think we should put it on DM and see the outcome.

Could do but then its only a bit of fun at the end of the day. I like watching the progress of how they come along to the finished product, the person who wins the votes is pretty elementary to me.

I agree, plus most of the digimods lot would just laugh at our attempts.

I vote on the one which I'd like to own, drive. Not necessarily the best 'workmanship'.

I would vote for the best looking 'shop. How well the mods work together and how realistic does the whole 'shop look. I do also take into account effort and skill, so if two 'shops look the same, but one has a brushed kit and the other one is c&p, the brushed one would win.

Voted for complex_maze on the 500 comp.
Looked the nicest in my eyes, that's about it really, guess that means it was shopped well, and looked good on the car *shrug*

I go for whatever looks realistic and has had a decent amount of time spent on it, not things that look like they took 5 minutes and are rough round the edges.
Kurt's makes me laugh, but I went with TheNobleOne this time

I do mate. I spent the longest ever on my C3 as well, probably added up to 5/6 hours at least.
My other ones I tried to get done in under 2

Yeah, i'm guessing you're new to the whole chopping scene.
I've been working with photoshop for a good few years and i know what i'm doing, and for your chop to be beating mine was a little off putting. I hope you're not offended at all. We all have to start somewhere. You should see some of my first chops, they're hilariously bad.
