Just got a price for my cars 1st service at 18,600 miles with Audi. £189.06.

Its cheaper than I was expecting although it doesn't really involve alot I guess, just an inspection, oil change and pollen filter.

How much do Vauxhall etc. charge for similar services? Not interested in hearing how much people pay for DIY jobs before anyone starts.

I remember I could get a full service, spark plugs etc. for my old B 1.2 16v at Vauxhall for about £120 about 3 years ago

Bloody hell thats cheap.

Before Dads A3 went back to his company, his last 150k service included a cambelt, water pump, glow plugs, filters, oil, AFM and EGR valve.

£2k

Which Audi dealer is that Matt?!

Read alot about silly silly prices, mines due one in about 4k seems very resonable price!

Not sure if should just get Lloyds to do it or take it anywhere as mines not new like yours but still has FASH.

If it's got FASH i'd either keep that or do it myself.

No point paying somebody if it's not Audi.

Its Lake District Audi at Lindale so only 1 mile from me.

I had read other peoples prices for getting work done at Lake District on Audi-Sport and they seem to be one of the cheapest around. Cant get on Audi-Sport at the moment (always seems to be playing up!) but someone with the same car as me got a good price from Carlisle Audi so might be worth a shout for you Dan!

I've heard of other people being quoted nigh on £300 for the same service as mine at dealerships further south.

Awesome GTi at M'Chester is another option for mine but I wouldn't take yours for its first service, got to be an Audi dealer!

Under £200 seems good to me

I might end up more than doubling that bill if I get new tyres fitted at the same time. Just hope they are as competitive with their tyre prices as they are with the servicing.

Do you know what I'm getting for my excessively large sum of cash on a second service Kurt? It was only £150 odd for the 1st one which I wasn't too stressed about paying

My last one came to about £450 I think (from an Audi Independent)

That included a basic service plus rear discs and pads, CV boots, haldex oil and filter and a few other bits and bobs.

Im currently wondering weather to pay for my next service or do it myself

Ouch. Well, at least I got a nice little 1.2 8v Grande to drive around in all day to remind me how much nicer my one is to drive
