check that out. it's the report from US Airways regarding the emergency landing. there are links at the bottom of the page to the previously released info. can you imagine reading statement 1 knowing that you had a relative on that plane? almost 2.5 hours had passed before the statement was released saying that all passengers and crew had survived.

Pilot is a hero, that river is normally filled with tourist boats or heaven forbid he even overshot it and hit Manhattan.

Worst nightmare that, being trapped in something submerged in water and sinking

He radioed in and they cleared the the river in time! Aparantly the plane floated so well as the tanks were empty as it was just a short flight and the air acted as floated for a period of time!
