im about to buy a adjustable FPR and timing kit for the x18xe1.

whats the best FPR to get, or do they all work the same.

Will an uprated FPR be necessary?

Fixed rate cossie one should do the job if you really want one

You don't need one, wasted expense.

Very hard to setup, requires a lot of RR time. Will give you ballache.

But, those "gsi"' I known who've spent the time to fit it, it really has made a difference.

Friend had his on the rollers 4 times before it was dialed in right. But once it was in, damn that car bloody flew (Exhaust, filter, fpr, 124bhp C16XE).

Adjustable regulators are more for adapting to changes in atmospheric conditions - you can richen up the mixture slightly by making a small increase in fuel pressure.

They aren't hard to set up at all. You choose the pressure you want and then map the injectors for that fuel pressure.

all i know is that i need one to fit the x18xe1. it has to be used. i dont think daveylc used a rolling road

You can get them from UK sellers for £20 mate..

a FPR regulates how much fuel goes into your rail, would you really trust a £20 fuel regulator on your nice new 1.8 your gonna whack in your corsa - without it failing and causing detonation...i know i wouldnt

not able to speak from experience, but i've heard good things about SARD items.



looking at about £110-140 though
