Anyone in the same situation as me?

Have 4k-5k to play with, need something fast, RELIABLE (MAIN ISSUE, AS DO ALOT OF MILES/MOTORWAY MILES)

Needs to be comftable, and pref a bigger car as im fed up with a tincan 106.

I don't want anything older than 99'-00'.

Please give me ideas as im stuck, and I know these posts get posted daily (or monthly for me), but it is time to move on for the 106, or keep the 106 as a back up car.

Ideas please?

Needs to be same speed/faster than a 106 GTi, and I don't know what you drive?

Very similar - SEAT Ibiza Sport TDi.

RR'd at 148bhp, 240lb/ft of torque. They pack a fair punch.

Remap it (170-180bhp 300lb/ft) and you'd be eating 106 GTi's in straight lines.

I'm not dead set on getting rid, if someone shows me the right money for it I'd concider, hence why it isn't advertised.

But honestly, if your doing motorway miles, look at the family my car comes from:

Polo TDi Sport (more expensive)
Skoda Fabia VRs (5 door :s)
Ibiza Sport TDi (Cheaper)
Ibiza FR TDi (Newer but more expensive)

They are fucking impractical mate

Bora and Golf (Even the pisshat) use the same 130 engine if your interested.

vectra v6 sri, not as fast as the 106 untill about after 60/70 though

haaaaah! no. just when you said saloon i thought i would throw it in, the petrol is stupid, the tax is stupid but.... you can save about 2k and spend that on the above lol

no vectra B, although you can get a really good deal on vectra C facelifts due to the insignia but i think it would be to practical for what you really want.

same engine as a cupra turbo, i would rather have the cupra for the sporty looks compaired to the A3
