My upgrade is due and i'm itching to get something new.
What tariff is your iPhone on and how much does it cost PM?
They seem pretty fixed on prices, is there a way to negotiate a free bolt on with the tariffs?
I want the unlimited text bolton preferably!
Cheers,

I'm on a £35 a month tariff. So far I've sent no texts and made no calls, but I've raped the data Only had it a week or so though on the real contract.

My old dear has one, I'm not a phone buff but you can't forward texts or send MMS.
What the fuck is the point in them?

if you're desperate to send MMS you can get an app for it, need to ring o2 and get it activated though

Hated it, was far too much hype around it.
Texting was a pain, and it was generally annoying, I went back to the phone i've had over a year

I thought texting was a pain, but spent an hour with it the other day and got totally used to it.
Going to end up being raped in the bummy for it though!

There are a lot of good phones out there, several are superior to the iPhone. You just got to find one you can get along with...

What use are apps or downloads for an older generation technophobe though? I understand you can jailbreak it and download allsorts but most will just want a phone that works out the box.
It looks good but the actual workings of the phone are in a word, shit.

Have a look into the simplicity tariffs first.
I've just swapped my tariff, costs me £20 a month. I get 1000 texts, 600 minutes and unlimited data.
So the £15 a month I save by not having an iPhone contract can go to buying one.
Whereas Kurt in the other thread, gets half the messages I get, pays £35 a month, plus £160ish to buy the phone. Just because its a proper iPhone tariff.

Hmm... I wonder if they'll give me any bill credit for going to simplicity.
It's £19.58 with Free Web, is that right? I thought Web and Wifi would be the same, but it's 2 different bolt ons!

Yeah mine is £20 with the web bolt on included. Wifi is so you can use O2 wifi wherever, like in wetherspoons where they have 'The cloud' or whatever it is.
You may aswell just get the web one though and just use 3G/edge.
