driving home from work earlier, a fox runs out and i slam on the breaks for some silly reason, being wet wheels lock and i spin into a bushy area on the side of the road

got the car home as was only 2miles away, when i got home i surveyed what i can in the dark and the only obvious damage is below the door on the bit where the paint is all bobbly, like where the skirts go i dont know the proper name hopefully thats the only damage but i will look in the light 2morrow anyone know if its fixable?

I ran over a fox and killed it from the middle of its body back, felt it going under the two driver's side wheels. Ended up having to drag itself off the road using its only two working (front) legs. Pretty sure it would have died.

I didn't even try to stop, was wet and a narrow road going about 45mph - am I fuck going to slam on the brakes if an oversized rat runs out in front of me. Old car as well though, wasn't bothered what happened to it.

just inexperience i suppose that i slammed on, i dunno, maybe i though that if i hit it id've lost control anyway

more worried about the damage now, looking at pics of other cars on here, would it be possible to buy skirts to cover it up?

Take it you mean the sills? As in the bit at the bottom of the door?

yeah thought of skirts straight away or repair it,

mattfiesta: maybe that's why i instantly reacted by hitting the break, in my mind i probably thought it could do some front end damage,

and haimsey, i've thought about that 2 isn't it connected the the main body/chassis which would make it an mot failure

Yes you could probably cover them with skirts but i wouldn't trust driving a car with structural damage.
