how do i open a paypal dispute?

as i bought an engine for £180 and was told it was a good engine nothing wrong with it, but now i have got it fitted and running i've noticed the headgasket has gone and i want the £50 for the headgasket set from the fella as he lied to me about it, i only paid £20 deposit through paypal would i be able to claim the £50 or only the £20 back?

You would only be able to claim the £20 back and i'd be surprised if you got anything at all.

you will get something as its a wrongly described item , although you will only get your 20 back

not yet but i think he knew as it had new plugs, oil filter and oil in it

You'd be better of speaking to him first surely, a paypal claim involves contacting him anyway.

if you go to resolution centre it allows you to open one.

cheers i've started one and i donno how i could of though because as soon as i got it home it went in then it sat for a few days until i could be bothered to start connecting things up and today i finished it and ran it for a few min then noticed it

welll i dont think it matters what the item is because basically its mis discribed , although its just unlucky the gasket went maybe the other guy didnt notice , fight for it thats £20 you could be putting towards a new gasket

exactly its £50 for the headgasket set which might not be alot but i lost my job and im not aloud job seekers so im pretty much stuffed untill i have another job

when u open a dispute, you enter the ammount of money u request... so put 50 there and wait...
