I know this is a stupid question but for the people with different engines in there car e.g C20XE, C25XE etc, and are still registered as say a 1.4 SRi would that fail the mot or is that got nothing to do with it.

if the mot station has there head on yes it will fail.

You can send the V5 off before you put it back on road and it'll all be kosher then.

No it won't fail the MOT
Naughy naughty John you are only supposed to check if people are insured if it's your car or have permission.

mine did. and asked for anything i had on car i toook engine from to prove it didnt need a cat for emissions. i have to carry an astra gte log book from 1989 in when mine gets mot'd.

i just tried that site aswell and it all it says is "The details on the MID are:

Vehicle Make/Model: VAUXHALL CORSA SRI

If these details are not correct, check the registration entered or contact your insurance provider.

doesnt say anything about insurance??

It says its on the insurance database in which case the car is insured

mine ses it isnt insured???:O but it actuly is, i think its my insurace company because i have this problem a few times getting stoped and them saying i have no insurance and i have to go and show my insurace at the police station...blagg
