transferring money between two different banks, was sending money but didnt ask for bank, only sort code and account number. is this ok? or should it ask for bank name?!

Just Sort code and account number, I work for LLoyds Tsb mate.

awsome, roughly how long does it take for the transfer to go through. the money has gone from my account but the seller still hasnt recieved it

depends on the banks you two are using.

If they are both part of the FPS then a few hours. If not then a few days.

fps is faster payment system, means with certain banks it will go through to the other account within 2 hours.
