Was driving along tonight, and got pulled from the Police. Thought "Fair enough, stop check etc".

However, it turns out he's a VOSA inspector, and having no interior means the car is unsafe. That, and a part cut out of your bumper means that your MOT is now null and void So I had to wander about in the fucking cold waiting for Shell to pick me up, and have to get my car towed, then MOT'd before I can drive the fucker again! 9 months remaining MOT wiped out Rather miffed is the words I'd use. Rant over.

What do you mean Ian? On what grounds is the MOT null and void? On the grounds that he feels that it is unfit for use on the road and is a danger to the public.

Apparently if there are no interior panels, the sharp edges are unsafe for passengers... THERE ARE NO FUCKING BACK SEATS FOR FUCKING PASSENGERS.

Having no interior means unsafe? where the hell did he get that from? how come rally cars are allowed they still have to be MOT'd and MSA log booked as well, so have to be very safe, the guy is having a laugh.

Surely that's not part of the MOT having no interior? Check it with the MOT tester when it's done and they seek compensation from the police for wasting money for an MOT that wasn't needed.

I think you could get away with this TBH if you spoke to someone with common sense.

The guy was taking the fucking piss. I mean come on, the front bumper having a chopped part is deemed unsafe because the fan is exposed. A bairn poking his finger in my fan is the least of his worries if he steps out infront of my car

I'm going to speak to my local Traffic Laison Officer, and see what he'd recommend I do.

And lets face it, who'd be silly enough to put their fingers on a fan blade whilst spinning anyway!

Hope it goes well with the traffic officer m8

No chance you'll get compensation.

And no chance the bit about the interior is true. Copper was obviously being a dick.

I also cant see how your mot is void as its tested on being in roadworthy condition at the time off test anything can happen after

stripped interior is not an MOT fail, your bumper shouldn't be an MOT fail either.

Get it checked at an MOT station, and when passed, go to the duty officer and put an official complaint in aswell as a reclamation of costs.

My old GSi passed 3 MOT's completely stipped out.

The Omega has passed 2 MOT's with direct access to the front cooling fans due to the fitted grill...
