I have pulled my finger out, come to my senses and decided it's time to make a move and get my Corsa GSi on the road. Okay the body isn't in great condition, but this is an iconic car and I don't care because I own one!
I bought it with the following additional spec (I'm sure most of you are familiar with the basics):
-K&N air filter
-Full Powerflow exhaust system with 3" outward rolled tip & de-catted
-Fully adjustable coilovers
-Cavalier GSi wheels wrapped in 195/45/15 Admiral rubber
-VIBE uprated door speakers
-JVC motoised head unit with remote
Things I have already done:
-Entirely stripped rear of car except the spare wheel
-Changed a few bulbs here and there
-Cleaned the filter as it was HELLA dirty
-Removed the wiper arms as they're all shagged
-Removed boot badge ready for post '97 badge
-Started prepping rocker cover for spraying red/black/white
Future plans are:
-Drop a smallblock 1.8 in/replace C16XE or fix what needs doing which so far is timing & tensioners, clutch, new fluids and going to get head done and skimmed to be on the safe side
-Black/red rigid Corbeau bucket seats
-Red Sabelt harnesses
-Tracking done
-Windscreen re-sealed and rubbers replaced
-Find all the rust possible and treat it/cut and weld
-Full respray back in Flame Red (original plan was Arctic White)
-Tigra scuttle panel sprayed anthracite
-Door handles sprayed anthracite (passenger side de-locked)
-Boot badge colour coded
-Punto HGT rear wiper arm
-Rear window washer connected
-Different exhaust fitted (something stealth)
-Cavalier GSi wheels re-sprayed anthracite
-Roof rails sprayed anthracite
-Laguna splitter fitted
-New fog (already bought) fitted
-Opel badges (front & back)
-New GSi badges
-Front jacking covers replaced
-New clips for arches as they aren't sat right at the moment
Few other bits and bobs such as MFD LEDs and dash LEDs etc.
All I will say is, watch this space! It'll be a while before everything gets started properly.
Most of the following photos are just to show the car, but some photos are of things I have done so far (which isn't much).
The night I decided to keep my GSi and sort it out after it died on me, then mysteriously came back alive with a jump from my mates new SXi.
TASTE MY DECAT!
SHE LIVES!!
Few other bits and bobs have been done now:
A real breakfast! Cheese on toast, tea 5 sugars LOL and Penicillin
I believe the rears are adjustable?
Legal
Waiting for the adhesive to dry so they dont drop LOL
The screws are just substitutes while I get some personalised plates (originals) sorted. Ignore the state of the car.
Did someone say CAMBER?!
My little reward for kicking my arse in gear
Keep watching.

I love my black bonnet. Have both the black one and the red one.

There's a lot more wrong than the battery mate. When I got it I thought it might be a ringer but did the check and it came back fine. Basically what needs doing is clutch, alternator, timing and tensioners, suspected HG, inlet bank gasket & exhaust bank gasket, my cat has "run away" so I need to buy a new one, brakes need bleeding, needs some rust sorting out, windscreen rubber, then MOT, tax, insure and I'll be reyt as rain. Don't expect it to take me over £1000 for everything as I can do some of the work with friends and all the rust and any welding that needs doing my mate can do.
