Looking for a new car,

Probably a max of 8-9K

Im looking for small, fast, good handling, but not too high insurance (19-20)

Doesnt matter how old.
Preferably Jap, German.

Sort of cars im looking at include

Corolla 1.8 VVT-i compressor
Cooper S
200sx turbo
CTR

any other contenders?

Could get a nice S3 for that.

I wouldn't consider the Toyota, I've driven one, felt a bit gutless and didn't handle too well.

honda civic type r
quick car, insurance group 17
can pick one with gd mileage for £5k
so 8 - 9k can get one with very low mileage

CTR for 5-6k and stick the rest in the bank. Not that it will do much nowdays

can be older and cheaper, the price is max, id be more than happy with a slightly older tuned car!

Something like that. Only oil and filter. Easy enough to do. Cambelt, Clutch and AYC fluid change is a coont though
