So, my MoBo broke and the company i bought it from can't seem to get hold of another Asus P5k in order to replace it.
They've said i can have any board i want up to the value of £80.
Any idea what i should get. Needs to support Intel 45nm chipset
Thanks

No model numbers for you, but I would personally get anything Abit or Gigabyte, always done me well in the past, Asus is a no no for me, ive had 3 separate boards on different platforms and every single one has broken either when it arrived or within a month of medium use

I've always liked MSI boards.

Double check CPU compatability as I'm not that familiar with Intel's.

used afew Asus, never had problems. the main ones we use are the GA56 series Gigabyte boards. in the 120 machines i've built with them and their predecessor (GA55) i think i've only ever had one back, and that was down to a faulty power supply.
they're about £60, so you may be able to get one thats higher spec'd for your £80

Had 3 MSI die (Bought for 3 PC's... I did learn from that mistake!)
Had a Soltek one die (I was asking for trouble there!)
Had one ASUS board, was ok.
Had several Gigabyte boards, and only one die (More specific, memory slot failure)
Looking at buying another one tonight at the computer fair in Aintree...
