Had this to do today, gets washed now and then but paint etc doesnt get given very much love.
Used a claybar on it an i was shocked with the amount of crap it took off the paint.

Its nothing to do with using a rotary or not.
The tailpipe still looks pretty dirty. Those waterspots really spoil it.
In the above picture, it looks like dirty water has been able to dry on the car. There are little spots everywhere.
Did you clean the engine bay? Interior? Did you dress the tyres? Its kinda hard to tell. They look nice and shiney in some pics, but not in others.
Show more pics of what you did (if you did do more), but it looks like a wash and polish to me.

ok i have a question, my alloys have a coat or tar that wont come off, is there any industrial strength stuff that i can buy to apply which will just dissolve it?

lol ive tried autoglym, doesnt work...used clay bar, takes ages and ages of scrubbing, i want something very strong

Tailpipes are still dirty, but a customer gets what a customer pays for. If i had all day to spend on the car It would of been alot better. But with the 3.5 -4 hours i had i had to sacrice certain things.
All it got was.
Wash, Clay Bar, De tar, Polish, Few scuffs/scratches treated, Skim over the interior, glass, plastics and carpets, didnt even treat leather or use air freshner.
Next time it is getting door shuts blasted out, arches degreassed, engine bay clean an dress, wheels removed and back cleaned and a paint treatment kit i use.

You own / run your own valeting & detailing business at 17? Insured?!
What did you use on the tailpipes? A quick and easy way to regain the shine is to use some extra fine wire wool with autosol
Waterspots would be polished out with SRP no trouble so no excuse for them though

does public liability cover fcuking up somebodys car paintwork/panels?
looks an ok job but wouldnt call it been detailed, for instance why de tar after you have claybar'd?
did you wash/rince car after you had clayed the car
was it dried each time after washing etc?
ok customer gets what they want but rather than cramming as much as i can into 3/4 hours id have a price guide for each job and not a time scale
ie wash £5
wash n basic was £10
wash clay wax £15
and os on (not saying those prices are right) just as an eg

Public Liability just covers people tripping over your hosepipes etc not shoddy workmanship.
There's then insurance to cover items worked upon, if you're mobile, van and goods in transit, and also if you can afford it, a motor traders policy allowing you drive anybody's car F/C up to X amount - that one I can't justify £5k for so have to get the customers to move their own cars.
It's hard to get the right insurance at a remotely acceptable price at 21/22 let alone 17.

Was detarred to remove tougher spots that werent on paintwork, i.e plastics at the bottom of doors.
And I didnt have any steel wool, just had to work with what i had, customer was happy with it, Its to get done again in easter when a full day will get spent on it and there is no water marks on the panels, Simply polished dust that i hadnt taken off yet.
