ARSE! I didnt realise they were different has any one successfully modified a standard bracket to accept the EPS column?
If not can the bracket be removed without taking out the dash, it looks like its possible from under neath.
Cheers

Don't think so but it's a while since I've had one apart, can't remember. I was considering doing this mod myself actually as my PAS pipes are rusty and I want to tidy the bay up a bit.

After a bit of searching around I found the following photos of a modified standard bracket:
I'm going to do something similar but I'll be reinforcing the bits I cut out.

Good find - doesn't even look like it's necessary to cut the right side, at least not as much as has been done there.

Looks like an easy enough mod. I'd personally add a bit of strength to the sections that have been cut. They are built to use the least amount of material to save money and weight. Removing chunks will undoubtedly weaken the structure. Nothing a bit of welding and some mild steel can't fix.
I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

Did you not want the rack as well or are you going to stick with the standard non-assisted one? Not sure if the EPS one is quicker?
